太多的改变,旧的生活方式轻易地被改变;

Debasree Das(India): In my works it’s all about appreciating and remembering our childhood days, those were the days when everything was wrapped in sweet thoughts.those days when we valued and appreciated the small things in life, but now a day’s
life is so convenient and mechanical that the small things in life are overlooked. Too
much has changed to simply revert to the old ways of life; new problems exist and will continue to do so unless we learn to deal them in the modern context. We cannot able to withstand the changes in the period of science and technology, philosophy and
ideas and socio-political and economic systems and structures which make our vision too blurred to locate the real factors behind many conflict.
The core issues which I want to address through these works are the questions of
identity along with femininity and the different perspectives on these issues,as I used
to see my grandmother and mother stitching, embroidering and weaving, which
created an individual identity for them though for the household use, but it worked
as an art object, with delicacy and elegance. Although these process (stitching,
embroidering and weaving) had been looked as house hold use but gradually
developed as anarchetype of art in our post contemporary scenario. This entire
process reflect to a very post contemporary art created an universal cultural
phenomenon particular to the female gender across the world despite obvious cultural differences.
